What’s So Great About Soil Protection, Anyway?
Here at Arizona Oriental & Specialty Rug Care, we aim to provide both top-notch cleaning service for our clients as well as help them preserve their area rug and continue to keep it looking beautiful! It’s Ruthie again and one of my favorite ways of helping clients preserve their rug is by applying soil protectant to their area rugs.
But what’s REALLY so great about soil protectant on your area rugs?

It helps protect your rug’s fibers from soiling! Just like wax protects our car paint, soil protectant protects the fibers of your area rug from the abrasive dry soil we leave on it every day.

It also gives you a bit more time to blot up any spills. Of course, it isn’t bulletproof and you should ALWAYS clean up a spill as quickly as possible, but soil protectant gives you that extra bit of precious time.

Helps your rug’s fibers remain cleaner, longer! With soil protectant you can go a little longer in between professional cleanings here with us at Arizona Oriental. Just as long as nothing major (like a spill or animal accidents) happens in the meantime.

Vacuuming becomes more efficient and also makes fibers respond better to the next professional cleaning. Soil releases from area rug fibers much easier when fibers have been protected. If you vacuum frequently, dry soil has less of a chance to work its way down to the base of your rug.
Just like everything we use here at Arizona Oriental, our soil protectant is WOOL SAFE CERTIFIED. This means it’s safe to use on all wool and silk area rugs. It’s also safe for animals and children in the house, so you don’t have to worry about anything!
