What is the Time Frame for Having My Area Rug Cleaned? – Prescott Valley AZ

Hi folks! I’m Ruthie with Arizona Oriental & Specialty Rug Care and one of the questions I get asked most often by clients is How long does the process take and when can I pick up my rug?  Unlike what some may think, it takes longer than just a few days to clean area rugs.  In fact, most area rugs are with us between 3 to 4 weeks.  Why?  THERE’S A LOT MORE TO A THOROUGH, PROPER AREA RUG CLEANING THAN JUST “CLEANING.”

At Arizona Oriental, we strive to provide the best service to all of our clients and their area rugs.  Our process looks like this:

STEP 1: A thorough inspection of your area rug(s) to determine the EXACT CONDITION of your rug before we clean.  We test for dye stability to ensure all of the colors are stable and will not migrate during the cleaning.  We also perform a UV Inspection to check if there are any urine deposits that need to be treated.
STEP 2: Once we get your approval, we will use a special dusting machine on the back of the rug to gently shake loose the abrasive dry soil trapped in the rug’s fibers.  Then, we flip the rug and vacuum the top of it.
STEP 3: Your rug will be washed BY ITSELF with CUSTOM-FORUMLATED, FIBER-SPECIFIC CLEANING SOLUTIONS matched to your rug specifically.  This way, every rug gets exactly the care it requires.  We NEVER batch-clean area rugs, so you don’t need to worry about cross-contamination of urine, soil, colors, etc. from other rugs.
STEP 4: To ensure a proper dry, your rug will be dried quickly.  This is one of the most important steps to ensure the best cleaning results.
STEP 5: A final, post-cleaning inspection is done to ensure that your rug doesn’t need anything else before it goes back home to you.

So, as you can see, it makes sense why your rugs can’t be returned to you in just a few days!  Our process is extensive and is designed to be the thorough cleaning that area rugs NEED.  It’s always best to plan ahead if you need your area rug(s) cleaned for a specific date – be it moving, a party, or just visiting guests.  In some cases, we can perform a rush cleaning if the need is there for an additional charge.
