What to Do With a Water Damaged Area Rug – Sedona AZ  

Time is of the essence when it comes to area rugs and water damages.  The longer that a rug remains wet, the more likely it is that permanent damage will occur. 

Rugs that stay wet for extended periods of time may suffer from dry rot or dye bleed. 

For tufted rugs, where a piece of cloth is glued to the back of the rug, the risk of delamination skyrockets when the rug is wet for extended periods of time. 

Another issue is that rugs tend to discolor and turn brownish in color, which may or may not be correctable.

Of course there is also the possibility of mold growth which increases the longer the rug is wet.
