It’s me, Ruthie with Arizona Oriental & Specialty Rug Care, again and something that I’ve always wondered about is whether or not it’s better to wear shoes or go barefoot when you’re walking on area rugs.
In my experience, if you like wearing shoes in your home then you should have a pair at the entry door exclusively for indoor use. Take off the shoes you’ve been running all over town with – the ones that have been walking all over the nasty streets, stores, and parking lots that are all filled with germs and oil from the road and cars. Keeping up the practice of only wearing your indoor shoes in your home, you’ll keep your floors (and area rugs) cleaner longer! This means you can go a little longer in between having your area rugs professionally cleaned with Arizona Oriental!
For those that prefer to keep their toes free and unbound, keep in mind that our bodies naturally produce oil.
