Hi folks, Ruthie with Arizona Oriental & Specialty Rug Care here in Prescott AZ once again and today I wanted to talk about removing urine from area rugs!  Completely removing urine from area rugs can be tough!  If you try to correct the urine odors yourself, it will prove to be a real challenge and the success is not at all guaranteed.  There are just some things best left to the professionals and cleaning area rugs is definitely one of them!

Not only will removing urine from your rug take a commercial-grade urine treatment, it also takes the “know how” and the correct tools to complete the job successfully.

Dye Bleed of red, blue, and black dyes migrating to the lighter colors of your rug if they aren’t properly treated prior to cleaning.

Not drying properly and creating a mold / mildew situation.  This is a very real possibility without the proper equipment for drying.

“Browning out” the rug.  This is when the rug gets a dark brown hue over the colors and doesn’t look at all like you just cleaned it.

Ruining the pile by having it matting down.

Shrinkage due to improper drying.
