Ruthie with Arizona Oriental & Specialty Rug Care here in Prescott, AZ, and I can’t tell you how many time we’ve had a rug come into us with uneven wear and tear all over it.  Unfortunately, this wear and tear doesn’t magically clean out of rugs because the fibers in these wear areas are more worn than the fibers in the rest of the rug.

How can you prevent this from happening?  Simply turn your rug 180 degrees often enough so the everyday traffic pattern is distributed more evenly!  Here at Arizona Oriental, we usually recommend this be done about every 6 months.  Just think of it as part of your routine spring and fall deep cleaning!

Another ideal time for this is when we take your rug for cleaning, we can assist in turning the rug when we deliver it back to your home!
