When it comes to area rugs, this includes the eventual spill that requires emergency spot cleaning. Choosing the right product for the job is critical, especially when it comes to delicate rug fibers. But how do you know what’s a good product to use for your area rugs?
I strongly caution folks from using any spotter on wool and silk fibers. Just about all the products I see on store shelves are, unfortunately, much too strong that will surely do harm to rug fibers and dyes.
Luckily, we carry a spotting kit here at Arizona Oriental that is specifically designed for wool and silk fibers. The kit has 3 spotters in it, each designed to give the best spotting results for the spot on hand. We are more than happy to provide you with one of these kits so that you can be prepared before anything happens to your rugs! Using the correct spotter on your rugs can make all the difference between achieving good results or making matters even worse. Having this kit is kind of like having a little insurance policy just in case something spills on your lovely area rugs.
