The Two Most Important Steps for Area Rug Cleaning!
Ruthie here with Arizona Oriental & Specialty Rug Cleaning in beautiful Prescott AZ! Today I wanted to take a minute to talk about two of the most important steps in our professional cleaning process - the dye-migration test in the pre-inspection and a quick, fast drying!
While there are of course other steps involved with our full rug cleaning process, I think the most important step of them all is the dye-migration test. This test allows us to test ALL of the colors in your rug and see if they are stable. If they are not fully stable, then we need to know ahead of time so we can do a pre-treatment to be able to prevent the colors from running all over your rug!
Making sure we know if the colors are stable or not makes the world of difference when it comes to cleaning an area rug! We want to do everything possible to prevent the colors from bleeding and spreading throughout your rug, so it’s REALLY important that we do this step!
The other most important step to our cleaning? A quick dry! After being thoroughly hand cleaned, all rugs in our shop are either hung to dry or laid flat on a drying table with air moving beneath and around the rugs. This air movement is key to a quick, thorough drying of area rugs.
When it comes to wall-to-wall carpet cleaners, these are two things that they probably don’t think about and may not be able to control. Your area rug is certainly not something you want to risk when it comes to having it cleaned by someone without the full knowledge and experience of what it takes to professionally clean area rugs!
