You need to remember that ALL rugs are different and sizes, styles, fibers, and construction all vary from rug to rug! So we have to do a little detective work first and ask a few questions before we can give you an estimate over the phone. Don’t worry about having ALL the answers – most folks rarely do. However, we will use what you can tell us to get a better understanding of what exactly is needed. This enables us to give you a more truthful estimate for the price of cleaning your rug.
We also need to know what prompted your call to our office. Is it just time for a good cleaning or is there a spot you’re worried about – perhaps a spilled beverage or animal accident? If there is a spot, we’ll ask basic information such as what size it is and if anything has been done to clean it at home and, if so, what was used?
Do you know if the fiber is wool, silk, synthetic, etc.? Can you see the pattern through to the back of the rug or is the back covered up with a piece of cloth? These are just a couple of questions you can expect to be asked. Spending a few minutes asking the right questions gets us the right information, with which we are able to provide a more accurate estimate and also helps our Arizona Oriental be informed as well!
