Well the title of this little article sure made it clear where I am headed with this thought. I’m Ruthie with Arizona Oriental & Specialty Rug Care in Prescott AZ. We proudly clean many, many area rugs from all the lovely homes in our quad-city area. Saying this, I might also add that we see tons of area rugs with pet accidents on them.
Please remember that even though the news reporters remind us to bring our pets into the home during the Fourth of July firework celebrations, we must also remember that they will still be able to hear the loud noises and they will likely still be scared. Scared enough to possibly pee on your area rug! Don’t take the chance of this happening to your lovely area rug.
Taking a few moments to quarantine your pets from your area rugs during this stressful time can very well save your rug from a permanent urine stain and obnoxious odors.
Try setting up a nice, quiet restful place in your home AWAY from your area rugs. A radio is a great help to deaden the outside loud firework noise.
If by chance, a urine accident happens, you’ll need to have your wool, silk or synthetic area rug cleaned just as soon as possible to prevent any further damage to your delicate area rug fibers.
