Here’s a laugh for you – head on over to YouTube and check out How to Clean a Rug for $4.00 at the Car Wash. You’ll get to watch a man take his rug and pressure wash the daylights out of it. You’ll notice that he hasn’t pre-tested for color bleeding. Nor did he consider the temperature of the water he was using or make sure that the pressure wasn’t too strong for his area rug’s fibers. He even used car wash soap on it! Really??? What was this man thinking??
If you haven’t guessed already – this guy is WAY off base on how to clean an area rug! The level of just plain wrong makes me a bit crazy!
NEVER EVER consider this a good cleaning option for your area rugs! Unless, for instance, you’re completely done with your area rug and you see no value in it anymore so it doesn’t matter if it falls apart.
