Hi folks! Ruthie with Arizona Oriental & Specialty Rug Care here in Prescott AZ! Today I wanted to share this short little video where I talk about the proper way to hang an area rug. You certainly aren’t alone if you have a rug that you want to hang on your wall. Hanging rugs properly, however, is something everyone should know so they don’t damage their rug.
Having a sleeve added to the back of your rug is the only proper way to hang your rug. Lucky for all of our clients in Northern Arizona, Arizona Oriental provides this service along with our regular cleaning services!
Not only will you not detect any stitches from the front of the rug, but you can also remove the sleeve at any time if you change your mind about having your rug hanging on the wall.
Also keep in mind that you should have any rug that is hanging in your home treated with a moth treatment to protect them. Moths LOVE rugs that are in places they won’t get disturbed and your wall is the perfect place for that. By applying a moth treatment before hanging your rug, you can be sure to protect it from any moth infestations.
Till next time, enjoy your beautiful art for your floor and remember a clean rug is a rug that can last you a lifetime!
