Here is an example of a "patch" repair on a nice Persian rug that here at Arizona Oriental we were able to offer a client. Yup a client's puppy was left alone a bit longer than he should have been and found himself in a heap of trouble after chewing the edge of this rug!  Our client was looking for an affordable fix. A close match to the rug was found (not exact) and as you can see after patching it looks really nice. Certainly an improvement over the chewed look.

What is especially nice is that we were able to offer this client several options.  She was offered the best option, which is to reweave the damaged area. Obviously this is very labor intense and the cost to make a complete restorative repair didn't fit her budget, however patching was perfect! No longer is the rug an eye sore and my client is thrilled with the patch.
